Joe was killed in a car crash, he finished his last GCSE exam just days before he died.
Joe was a Year 11 student at St Bernard's Catholic High School, Rotherham, where he finished his last GCSE exam two days before his death.
Headteacher David Butler said: "He was an absolutely outstanding young man. He was gifted both academically and sportingly."
"We are all devastated to hear the news and he will be sorely missed by his many friends."

Joe, you have left a huge space at St Bernard's but in my heart I know your presence will live on on and on here. You are remembered every day, and as the shock and pain ease, we can smile in our memories. You are very special Joe. God bless you
